Status: Full-Time Regular / Hourly / Non-Exempt
Reports To: General Manager
Candidate will be responsible for the product development team and coordinate the gathering of OEM samples, work directly with factories and test fit samples for quality assurance and approval. Management experience is essential and salary is based upon candidates experience. Some travel may be required occasionally. Must have extensive knowledge and experience with vehicle restoration as well as all aspects of vehicle parts manufacturing.
The ideal candidate should have experience with the following;
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
Strong body panel and moulding fitment skills
Overhaul and disassembly of vehicle components for classic cars.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or production specifications
Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills
Reliable with a strong work ethic, and Team Player mentality
Show initiative to complete job requirements in accordance with production timeline.
Work effectively with cross-functional departments as needed
Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy
Able to use welding and soldering equipment to complete the build process
Can effectively use measuring instruments such as, calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges and micrometers
Ability to use the required hand tools, power tools and cutting machines in the assembly process
Able to layout work assignments
Creates and maintains accurate data for company organizational records.
Performs other warehouse/mechanical duties as assigned.
Organizes and keeps work area clean.
Education and Experience
Roll forming, extrusions, etc.
Minimum 5 years current R & D mechanical/build experience; preferably in an automotive environment
Experience using MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
Automotive/mechanical experience required (5 Years Minimum)
Recognize as a leader of the restoration part industry offering parts and accessories for Camaro, Firebird, Nova, Tri-five, and Impala, Chevrolet/GMC trucks, as well as Dodge and Plymouth A, B and E body models. Manufacturing and distributing over 150,000 individual part numbers, providing a vast assortment of classic car and truck products to the enthusiasts throughout the world.
