Spectranetics, now a Philips company, has an opening for a Operations Site Director.
What You Will Do: You will serve as the strategic leader on all Operational objectives in building and sustaining a world class Operations Department. By Attracting, Retaining, and Developing the best operations team on the planet, you will obtain Operations Excellence through executing on TOC and Toyota Production strategies to increase gross margins. You will make the safety of our teammates a driving goal and achieve world-class safety performance standards. You will oversee manufacturing and production operations, supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, and facilities in alignment with Company strategy, regulatory requirements and general operational procedures for our two Fremont, CA facilities.

Drives the operation to achieve increased manufacturing capabilities that meet or exceed requirements for cost, quality, and responsiveness
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the Company's operations functions and performance in the areas including TOC and TPS techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, and safety.
Works with cross-functional leaders to support overall site operations, coordinate general communications for the site.
Develops a world-class integration process to implement TPS philosophies and processes'.
Contributes to developing, presenting, and reviewing the Operations enterprise's quarterly operating plan, sets actions and drives to expand Gross Margin across the enterprise, and drives down total lead times.
Implements TPS processes across the Fremont sites, production flow processes, pull system, Theory of Constraints, and Agile project management.
Works with functional leaders to deploy best practices across both Fremont sites; reviewed quarterly.
Forecasts space requirements for a rolling 12 months on a quarterly basis.
Participates in the development of the Company's plans and programs as a strategic partner, particularly from an operations perspective. Recommends and implements strategic changes in manufacturing and operations strategy.
Continually assesses and improves the competitiveness of all policies and practices against relevant comparable companies and industries.
Oversees operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
Directly leads local Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teammates for Fremont sites.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline required.
Master's Degree in Engineering discipline preferred.
Experienced leader with 10-15 years of progressive operations experience
Medical device industry required.
Formal training in the Toyota Production System with TPS application in medical device environment preferred.
Experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations.
Strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
