Our client is one of Australia's leading property groups, with a multi billion property portfolio. They own and manage commercial properties around Australia, including office buildings, supermarket anchored retail centres, and industrial assets, on behalf of our institutional, wholesale and retail investors. They also manage a wide variety of listed and unlisted property funds for institutional and retail investors, as well as partnerships for wholesale investors. These funds invest in quality Australian office, retail and industrial properties.
Reporting to the Head of Property Sales, as Business Development Manager, you will be expected to help establish and maintain long term relationships with key advisers, national and boutique dealer groups and platforms. This includes providing client service to advisers with existing investment in funds and services. By supporting these key relationships, you will source leads and convert new business. In securing and increasing fund inflows for unlisted property funds from investors via planning and other intermediaries, you will help the team achieve sales/revenue targets and expense management set for the assigned portfolio.
Tertiary qualified in business, management, accounting or legal, you will hold a DFP and t, in ne RG 146 compliant, in addition to a clear understanding and achievement in the Financial Services marketplace and a strong understanding of Funds Management, the SMSF sector and the financial planning and wealth management industry and its participants. Those who are able to draw on a demonstrated network of existing contacts and relationships within financial services and intermediary market will be at a distinct advantage. Ideally, you will have a track record of success in funds management & distribution, ideally (but not essential) with a knowledge and understanding of property as an asset class.
With drive, self-management and motivation and resilience – and ability to participate and contribute broadly to the distribution team, you will have strong communication and influencing skills, and an ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organisation in both a team and independent environment.
