We are seeking a Key Account Sales Support Specialist to provide support for the Key Account Managers, as well as assisting with and leading several internal processes, and assisting with reporting and analysis for the Corporate Distribution Team (NC/AD).
The Corporate Distribution team is responsible for managing the distributor sales channel activities of six BASF business units (EM: Care Chemicals, CI: Intermediates, CM Inorganics, EV: EVA CP: Acryl Monomers, Oxo's, Palatinol® Plasticizers, EN: Human Nutrition). Qualified candidates will engage in a multi-faceted, fast-paced position and interface with key BASF customers, distributors, and internal business contacts. The position will report directly to the Sales Support Manager.
Corporate Distribution Key Account Sales Support Specialist (1704937) – Florham Park, NJ
Formula for Success: You Will...
Be responsible for the sales support of the Full Line Distributors.
Coordinate communication between Distributor Account Managers and various internal business contacts in Product Management, Customer Care, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain.
Develop understanding of BASF chemistries and offerings, and its distribution network.
Participate in SCA network teams.
Support distributor pricing activities including into stock and Credit Upon Proof of Sale price support requests.
Serve as an information source for distributors, working as a backup to the sales team. Ensure being copied on all communications and act if representative is not available.
Become a backup to the Inside Sales role.
Maintain full communication with the Key Account Managers about account plans, schedule, and responsibilities, establishing a regular meeting schedule with Account Managers to review territory, distributor activities, and interaction.
Involvement and support around industry activities, such as symposiums, industry landscape and reporting, and sales meetings.
Coordinate and manage the Distributor Bid Process, First Order Process, CRM maintenance, and training and communicating product allocations
Support and participate in distribution processes and initiatives, such as Demand, Planning/Forecasting, account turnovers and turnover tracking, and distributor selections.
Serve as a key contact for BRM maintenance and trend analysis for NCAD.
Navigate various BASF information databases to satisfy external inquiries.
Assist with the development of strategic distributor plans.
