Tenure-Track Faculty - Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Cornell University The SIBLEY SCHOOL OF MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AT CORNELL UNIVERSITY, Ithaca, NY invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in strategic areas in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Of particular interest are applications in the areas of Energy, Environment and Sustainability, and Systems Engineering, although applications complementary to any of the School's strategic disciplines or applications will be considered. We seek outstanding individuals engaged in research in Energy, Environment and Sustainability, including building and urban environments, smart cities, wind energy, air pollution sensing and modeling, or related areas; Systems Engineering, including systems architecture and optimization, model-based systems engineering, or other related areas; and Other Strategic Areas aligned with the School's disciplines and applications, including Fluids and Thermal Science, Solid Mechanics and Materials; Dynamics and Control; Biomechanical Systems; and Robotics, including Haptics. Candidates must hold a doctorate in an appropriate field and are expected to establish an outstanding, externally funded research program as well as to contribute fully to both undergraduate and graduate instruction in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Applicants for hire at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor are preferred. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
