The duties of the TDML Program Coordinator are in addition to teaching responsibilities and other faculty duties. The Program Coordinator may be awarded up to 3 credits reassigned time per semester. The time necessary to perform the duties of a Program Coordinator averages seven hours a week over the 20 contractual weeks of either the fall or spring semesters. The Coordinator will serve a three year term from the date of appointment and may reapply for the position.
Master's Degree in Business or related field. Work experience in transportation, distribution or logistics required, Seaport related experience a plus. Two (2) years of successful teaching in the field of transportation, distribution and logistics required, teaching experience preferably at the college level.

CLASS SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The following functional duties may be assigned by the Department Chair or Dean:
Support a positive and collegial work environment.
Support the Departmental Chair in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, observing, and evaluating adjunct faculty.
Work with the Department Chair in the development of class schedules and adjunct faculty assignments to classes.
Assist with goal/objective achievement.
Collaborate with the Department Chair, faculty and others within and outside CCBC to: identify program/discipline, department and division objectives; assess changing industry and instructional needs in order to develop, replace, maintain, or eliminate courses, curricula, and programs; contribute to development and management of instructional delivery systems; and in articulating courses, programs and curricula with high schools and transfer institutions.
Work collaboratively with Continuing Education Economic Development, to further the objectives of ConEd and the TDML A.A.S. program.
Support student recruiting, retention, program-related extra-curricular activities and events, advisement and mentoring.
Ensure focus on activities to increase student learning. Support graduates in transfer and employment initiatives. Coordinate credit by exam and/or portfolio for students in the program/discipline.
Represent the program/discipline in college and external meetings as assigned.
Conduct classroom and online observations of adjunct faculty.
Evaluate adjunct faculty in cooperation with the Department Chair.
Substitute for adjunct faculty in the case of absence.
Advise program students
Maintain Coordinator office hours independent of class office hours when students are on campus. These Coordinator Office hours are to be conspicuously posted.
