The Director of Outreach and Manufacturing Promotion programs for the Minnesota State Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence | ATE Regional Center is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of its outreach and manufacturing promotion programs, including revenue generation and budgetary control; affects the Center's goal of increasing the number of skilled employees available for the advanced manufacturing industry; serves as the Executive Director of the Dream it. Do It. Minnesota program, serving the entire state of Minnesota; responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the Dream It. Do It. Minnesota Statewide Program; leads the Statewide Tour of Manufacturing for the state of Minnesota, as well as the development of new recruiting resources statewide; responsible for building relationships with partners and stakeholders, and acquiring sponsorships to leverage Center funding, as well as collaborating with regional groups and associations throughout the state of Minnesota and broader region; initiate, foster, and maintain relationships with multiple target partners and audiences, including but not limited to, partner institutions, business and industry, associations, workforce development groups, economic development groups, chambers, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, incumbent workers, traditional potential students, parent groups, media outlets, as well as manufacturing businesses and public sector stakeholders; establish Center outreach and manufacturing promotion program work plans, as well as work plans aligned with specific objectives as part of the National Science Foundation – Advanced Technological Educational (NSF-ATE) program grant. These work plans will align with Bemidji State, Minnesota State, and NSF-ATE goals and strategies; develop presentations and present on the various Center programs and initiatives both statewide and nationally, and will provide official representation for the Center at applicable local, state, and national events; provide work direction to the Communications Specialist, who is responsible for the managing communications and marketing for the Center, including Dream It. Do It. Minnesota and 360 eTECH.
Minimum of 5 years work experience
Bachelor's degree in field related to marketing, communications, business, industrial technology, manufacturing engineering, human resources, education, or related field
Demonstrated success in acquiring sponsorships and fundraising strategies
Computer skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and internet
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing, and the ability to work tactfully with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner
Strong problem solving skills sufficient to identify and clarify problems or issues, to prepare and execute possible solutions
Evidence of strong relationship skills
Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and work with little to no supervision
Master's degree in field or evidence of pursuit of Master's degree in field
Experience managing grant funded programs, projects, staff, and budgets.
Fundraising experience, to include successful, and developing and managing sponsorship strategies.
Program management experience in regional and statewide outreach
Understanding of marketing and public relation strategies
Experience managing third party vendors
Understanding of the manufacturing and engineering business and industry, as well as marketing
Higher education experience
Understanding of technical and engineering education related to higher education
Experience utilizing technology and best practices to create efficiencies in a process or service
Evidence of ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working in a diverse team setting
Exhibits flexibility, adaptability, and a desire to develop professionally

This is a Minnesota State University Associate of Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF) Range D position with a salary range of $48,591 (minimum) to $89,721 (maximum). Salary is commensurate with education and experience, and is determined by the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State and the MSUAASF organization.
