Our client is at an interesting juncture in its growth. As an experienced fund manager, they are currently extending their platform across Asia, partnering with a large Asian conglomerate with distribution channels across China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Well capitalised, with ambitious growth plans, the client will create and distribute products covering multiple asset classes. The initial focus will be on real estate, with a series of other funds targeting debt and private equity being developed to provide HNW clients with a unique product offering.
To enhance growth, the client is looking to appoint a very experienced individual who can act as the conduit to their HNW clients. This role will entail:
- Developing and executing business development and marketing strategies for the acquisition and maintenance of HNW clients
- Broadening the understanding and reach across HNW ecosystems and channels of acquisition
- Identification of client needs and appetite for products and passing feedback through to product development teams in order to deliver the most effective solutions for the HNW sector
Ideally, you will currently have an extensive network of investors, both in Australia and offshore. It is most likely that these networks have been gained in Funds Management Sales, Private Banking Relationship Management, or on the Asia liaison desk of one of the large accounting or law firms. Given the extent and nature of the client's existing HNW and ultra HNW networks across both Asia and Australia, fluent Mandarin skills are essential.
